The Aspire Programme

For those students with ambitions to study at the most competitive universities, we offer many opportunities to help you reach your full potential.  We provide dedicated information and resources which encourage you to take action, break barriers and achieve your goals!

All students with a strong GCSE profile will become a member of the ‘Aspire’ programme during their first term at Sixth Form.  Students will be contacted on a regular basis through the google Super curricular classroom and the tutor programme, with information about opportunities they can take part in to extend and deepen their subject expertise and, where appropriate, go beyond on the limit of the subject specifications.  These range from webinars and wider reading to practical tasks.  Students will be encouraged to embrace these activities in order to develop their wider skills and mental agility.  The range of activities and support available to you include:

• Expert Tutor support throughout the UCAS process
• Preparation for applications and admissions tests
• Staff who specialise in specific subject applications
• Personal statement support, workshops and feedback
• ‘Introduction to Oxbridge’ talk for Year 12 students
• Interview guidance sessions and mock interviews
• Open Days, online activities and HE Exhibition visits
