Joining Sixth Form

All admissions to sixth form must be submitted through the sixth form online application system. The only exception to this is 'In Year' admissions which are after the school year has begun.

Sixth Form Admissions Timeline

October - Prospectus packs are sent to all Year 11 students at MNSP secondary schools in the Norton Radstock area.

November - The Sixth Form Open Evening is an opportunity for prospective parents and students to view the sites and meet the staff and students. A range of activities is on offer within the different subject areas, with the aim of providing a flavour of what life would be like in the Sixth Form. There is also an opportunity to hear from the Director of Sixth Form, and current students, about what makes the Sixth Form so special.

Nov/Dec - After Open Evening, daytime tours of the sites are available - we would encourage all prospective students and parents to visit, to see the Sixth Form at work.

Dec 16th - The national deadline for applications. Any applications or changes received after this date are classed as 'late' and won't be given priority for subject spaces until all the 'on time' applications have been processed.

January to March - Students are interviewed by a member of the Sixth Form team to provide guidance on options and progression.

End of March - Sixth Form applicants will be made provisional offers for places in the Sixth Form.

May - Students complete enrolment process.

June/ July - External applicants and those requiring additional support in transition are offered additional support visits.
